Enviromat
As the name suggests, Enviromat Sedum
Matting gains most of its low maintenance and
environmental benefits from sedum plants.
Sedum mat typically adapts well to poor soil and
exposed sites making it a great alternative to
grass. Enviromat is also especially suited to the
UK climate and incorporates all the growing
medium that the sedum plants need - so it can
be used on a soil-less surface, for example a
sedum roof or sedum carpet.
Uses for Enviromat
Grown on special matting for easy installation it is supplied with
mature sedum plants already established with a life time supply
of growing medium. The Enviromat includes a varied mix of flowering
sedum plants to provide year round colour. No need for mowing, weeding or deadheading.
Enviromat attracts wildlife and is suitable for numerous
applications including:
- Sedum roofs for summer houses, sheds, breeze houses or stables
- An alternative to ornamental grass lawns
- Planters
- Pond surrounds
- Sedum mat banking
- Borders
- Topiary
- Low maintenance landscaped areas
Delivery can be within 2 days of order. It can
be harvested in 1m x 1m slabs or 1m x 2m
slabs. The sedum Enviromat will come with
water retention mat which should be used in
all situes.
If you are ordering for a flat area (i.e. flat roof,
garden shed or onto concrete/asphalt, or
simply replacing your existing lawn) you will
need the drainage mat as well, unless it going
onto a very free draining surface/soil, sedum
plants will not survive water logging. For
general landscape areas we would recommend
you order plantex (weed suppressant) to lay beneath.
